The Nepal earthquake tragedy…
The massive earthquake that rocked Nepal on April 2015 has wrought death and destruction on a colossal scale. As the survivors piece their lives together, relief organizations are toiling relentlessly to provide succor to the victims by providing food, clothing, water, sanitation, tent accommodation etc. We appeal to everyone to donate to the worthy cause so that relief is of provided to the quake affected.
Organisations covered below are striving to help the quake affected survivors in multiple ways across Nepal. Please provide donations in cash and kind to alleviate the suffering. In the ‘Resources’ section you will find details of Bank accounts to which transfers can be made.
They have rushed emergency family kits. Each kit contains tarpaulin, blanket, floor mat, jerry-cans and hygiene set. Plan to reach out to 50,000 persons.
Are distributing tents, dry food items, edible oil, biscuits etc. Have deputed a team with expertise in disaster relief operations.
International Association for Human Value
Are providing food and other essential items. Have conducted a blood donation camp. Their centre in Kathmandu is sheltering over 200 people in the premises.
This organization rescues women and children who are victims of human trafficking. Right now are providing shelter and care for over 400 women and children.
NGO Federation of Nepal
Being a network of NGOs in Nepal, they have most up-to-date information on quake affected areas. With this data, they are able to guide relief agencies as to which area requires maximum assistance. They are also distributing essential goods.
They are distributing food, providing shelter, supplying drinking water and building sanitation facilities.
United Way of India
Aim to serve 10,000 families with tents, ground sheets, solar lamps, bedding, utensils, dry ration, water, medicines, soap etc. Nutrition for children and mothers will also be provided.
Are engaged in supply of tarpaulins and non-food items to the affected areas.
