Solving Consumer Complaints

Consumers are often frustrated due to lack of attention to complaints by suppliers…

Individuals buy goods and services to meet their needs and complaints arise when performace of the products or services do not lead to customer satisfaction. Such customer complaints arise soon after purchase and timely resolution of the grievance is the duty of the supplier or manufacturer or service provider, as the case may be.

However, companies often exhibit lackadaisical attitude in attending to customer complaints and this leads to frustration among consumers who continue to follow-up but to no avail. Sometimes, in case of defective products, suppliers offer free repair whereas the buyers demand new products as free replacement because the buyers believe that newly-bought products should have been defect-free in the first instance.

Organisations help consumers get their complaints resolved…

Organisations such as those listed under Resources below offer to resolve consumer complaints. You need to submit details of the complaint by filling-up and submitting an online form. Thereafter their representative may contact him to obtain documentary proof pertaining to the complaint or you may be called to attend a consumers’ meet at their office. Services provided by these organisations may be free or may involve a nominal processing fee. Complaints could be against banks, builders, mobile operators, insurance companies, hospitals, suppliers of electronic goods etc.
