Tackle Bribe Taking Corruption

Bribe taking is a cancer afflicting India…

In the course of everday life, individuals need to avail services from various Authorities, such as local self-government (Panchayat, Zilla Parishad, Municipality, Corporation etc), State Government, Central Government as well as Public Sector Organsations.

Unfortunately, citizens get exposed to the all-pervasive and humungous nature of corruption when they approach the concerned Department for any approval or permit or service. In fact, bribing has become ‘de rigueur’ to get anything done.

Tackling specific acts of bribe taking is necessary but it is essential that there is a fundamental change in policies, systems and procedures so that opportunities for corruption do not exist in the first place.

Citizens, dial helplines and report instances of corruption...

The crying need of the hour is the involvement of citizens so that instances of corruption are reported through helplines or Whatsapp numbers. State Governments have set up Anti-Corruption Bureaus (ACBs) who are empowered to investigate cases of corruption involving state government employees.

The ACB offices are located in the respective State capitals. In case you are a victim of corruption, do approach the ACB office in your State and lodge a complaint. With your co-operation ACB can lay a trap to catch the offender red-handed.
