Independent business empowers women…
Direct marketing empowers women economically and at the same gives expression to their aspirations for a better lifestyle. Direct marketing does not require any qualification or experience, however communication ability and a passion to excel are a must. Further, only a minimal stock would have to be held and most of the time goods can be received at short notice from supplier, in order to fulfil the orders in hand.
However direct marketing is not the only route to work independently. You can also undergo training and gain expertise in any service field and thereafter be self-employed as a consultant or trainer.
Work as an independent distributor in direct marketing…
Direct marketing companies by-pass traditional channels and sell their range of products directly to individual consumers, through independent distributors who may also be designated as sales consultants, sales advisers and so on. Since wholesalers and retailers are not present, direct marketing companies are able to reward independent distributors handsomely.
While most of the direct marketing companies sign-on men and women alike, yet there are companies who appoint exclusively women as distributors and these companies are listed in Resources below. Their products are bought and used by women consumers and therefore a women distributor is the right person to approach the women customers and convince them to buy the product.
Every company has set out the sales strategy to be pursued by the distributor. For example Avon sales-ladies drop in at homes, whereas Tupperware is sold at neighbourhood parties organized by the distributor.
In addition to sales to actual users, sales are also made through downlines, who are sub-distributors appointed by the independent distributor. Points accrue to the upline for sales made by the downline.
