Makerspaces are for building products…
Professionals, students, hobbyists and innovators now have spaces to build prototypes of products. At these makerspaces tools and facilities are provided such as work benches, workstations, carpentry & soldering tools, 3D printers, laser cutters, sensors, circuit boards, woodworking tools, electronics lab, measuring tools etc.
But makerspaces are much more than just a physical place with tools. They are collaborative workplaces where talented individuals meet and exchange ideas as well as collaborate with others who have complementary skills. Here peers are present who can review and improve upon ideas and products. You may even meet a mentor. Of course, one can work individually too.
Niti Aayog of Government of India has proposed to set up 500 Atal Tinkering Labs across the country under Atal Innovation Missiom.
Have an idea? Turn it into reality…
Makerspaces listed below in Resources welcome students, professionals, academics, designers, inventors, hobbyists, techies and in fact anyone who loves to build stuff. What is needed is a viable idea to solve a problem or to provide a service.
You may have been having an idea or concept at the back of your mind from a long time, but were constrained by lack of tinkering space or the high costs involved in setting up a workshop.
Makerspaces provide you facilities at affordable monthly membership plans and/or with the provision that royalty will be payable if and when the product is commercialized. So what are you waiting for? Give wings to your dreams!
